WHAT IS A SISTER PARISH
A Sister Parish is relationship between churches that focuses on deepening our faith, fostering awareness and learning, and building community.
WHAT IS OUR VISION?
We believe the Kingdom of God is already present in El Salvador as it is in our own community and at the same time it is not complete. The liberating Gospel calls us to work together to join God’s Kingdom building through:
- Prayer: We pray for our sister parish on a weekly basis.
- Solidarity: On the last Sunday of each month we use Salvadorian paraments in worship as a visual reminder of our sister parish and the Kingdom work they do.
- Visiting: We will continue to visit one another building an interdependent community within and among our respective communities. By doing so, we will learn “who we are” and be culturally sensitive to each other, while promoting mutual respect and dignity for all people.
- Offering: On the last Sunday of Each month we take a “Noisy Offering” for Resurrection Lutheran Church.
