Part-time Office Administrator
In-Person position, located in Concord, CA
25 hours per week, T-F, flexible scheduling available
Starting at $20/hour, depending on experience
Temporary, with possibility of becoming permanent.
Desired time frame: May 16, 2022, through September 9, 2022

Duties:

  • Coordinate site scheduling
  • Create weekly bulletins, emails and other communication, both printed and electronic
  • Interact with visitors
  • Coordinate work assignments with volunteers
  • Keep church website updated
  • Keep office stocked with necessary supplies
  • Other duties as assigned by Pastor or Church Council President

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Desired

  • Familiarity, or ability to quickly learn both Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (GSLC) and Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) organization, services, liturgy and services.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Publisher able to learn Constant Contact, as well as other software programs.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for communicating and interacting with church staff, paid and volunteer participants of the church, and the public.
  • Must be able to pass a background check
